European Volunteering Capital 2027 Launch Event to Take Place in Ennis

Ennis, Co. Clare – 17 September 2026

The European Volunteering Capital 2027 team is delighted to invite members of the public, community organisations, volunteers, businessesand stakeholders to the official launch of European Volunteering Capital 2027, taking place on Thursday, 17 September, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm at the Treacys West County Hotel, Ennis.

The launch event marks an important milestone in Clare’s journey as European Volunteering Capital 2027 and will bring together the organisations, agencies and individuals who played a key role in developing the successful bid.

Attendees will hear presentations outlining the vision and objectives for European Volunteering Capital 2027 and the exciting programme of activities planned for the year ahead.
The evening will also include the official launch of the European Volunteering Capital 2027 website and programme of events, providing opportunities for individuals, community groups and organisations to engage with the initiative throughout 2027.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet the people behind the successful bid and learn more about how they can become involved, whether as volunteers, community champions, event participants, or project partners. There will also be time for networking and discussion and light refreshments will be served.
